Visits & first contact

Yes, visits can be arranged by appointment. Please note that the venue cannot be booked without a first visit in person.

Between one hour and an hour and a half. That gives us time to talk your plans through in detail and gives you time to picture your wedding here.

Yes, we are happy to speak by phone or video call beforehand. Booking the venue still depends on a visit in person.

Weddings are hosted on selected dates throughout the year. Get in touch and we will work out together which dates suit your plans.

Yes, Le Morimont hosts weddings on weekdays as well as weekends, subject to the venue’s calendar. Weekday and off-season weddings come with different terms.

Yes. After your first visit, you can place a temporary hold on the date you have in mind.

Packages & services

There is a single package: exclusive hire of the whole place for three days and two nights, including accommodation, breakfasts, the Sunday brunch and floral décor for 47 guests. Additional services are available as options.

Our brochure sets out the rental terms and every option in detail. It is sent on request through the form on the weddings page, and nowhere else.

No. A planning and styling service is offered, run by the Dentelle Rebelle team, but it is never imposed. Many couples organise everything themselves and it works beautifully. Either way, the Morimont team is on hand throughout.

Capacity & spaces

Yes. Le Morimont is yours alone from Friday to Sunday, with no other event taking place on site.

The barn comfortably seats up to 120 guests, and we have hosted beautiful weddings for around fifty. Beyond 120 it is possible — let’s talk it through.

Every space at Le Morimont is open to you. The Allée des Seigneurs is the favourite for ceremonies, but the terrace, the courtyard and the vault all work beautifully too.

There is no church at Le Morimont. The vast majority of couples we host hold a humanist or symbolic ceremony, usually in the Allée des Seigneurs, sometimes alongside a civil or religious ceremony held elsewhere in the days before.

Yes, you are free to use the spaces as you wish, according to the season, the weather and your own vision.

Yes. The vault offers a sheltered, intimate space, much appreciated when the forecast is uncertain or for quieter moments. The courtyard canopy also shelters guests.

No. The castle ruins, 350 m from the hamlet, are not part of the property, but you are welcome to walk up for photographs or a stroll.

Additional heaters can be brought in, and the large courtyard canopy keeps guests dry in the rain.

Some outdoor areas do not meet accessibility standards: the ground is old, sloping in places, and gravelled. In practice no guest has ever been left out — the paths are manageable with a helping hand, and we plan ahead together during your visit. Tell us about any specific needs and we will find a way.

Accommodation

Eighteen rooms sleeping up to 47 guests, excluding baby cots: eleven doubles, four triples, two rooms for four and one for five.

Yes, subject to availability, so you can stretch the stay at either end.

No. You decide, room by room, which ones you offer and which ones your guests settle themselves.

Yes. Whatever your guests pay for their rooms is deducted directly from your invoice.

No, your guests have nothing to arrange with the hotel. The couple allocate the rooms.

Through an app built by the Morimont team. You enter arrival and departure dates, the bed configuration and the amount paid for each guest staying on site.

Very much so. We have four baby cots available on request, and you are welcome to bring more.

Yes. A camping area can be set up right beside the barn, and campervans park in the car park. Outdoor washrooms are provided for guests who camp.

Yes, several hotels and guesthouses are a few minutes away.

Food & drink

We cook the meals that surround the wedding: Friday dinner, the breakfasts, Saturday lunch if you would like one, and Sunday brunch. Saturday breakfast and Sunday brunch are included in the hire for the 47 guests staying on site; the other meals are quoted separately.

No. Saturday dinner is handled by the caterer of your choice. You are free to choose them, provided they work within our charter: seasonal produce, short supply chains, no disposable plastic tableware. It genuinely narrows the field, so it is worth knowing early in your search.

Warm, family-style cooking built on organic produce: long tables, buffets and dishes made for sharing.

Yes. Our kitchen works with a network of neighbouring growers and producers. The Églantines etc. farm, here on the hamlet, supplies jams, herbal teas, fresh herbs and part of the fruit and vegetables.

Yes, breakfast and brunch can be extended beyond the guests staying on site.

Yes, menus adapt to dietary requirements. We are also glad to encourage lighter, less meat-heavy menus.

Of course. A dessert buffet or a cheese buffet, for instance.

Yes, under conditions set out in your quote.

Flowers & décor

Yes. The floral décor is created by Églantines etc., the flower farm based here on the hamlet. It covers the bridal bouquet, the buttonholes and accessories, the ceremony, the drinks reception and the tables, plus setting up and taking down.

They are grown here, seasonal and organic. Which means the season decides: no peonies in September, no dahlias in April.

Yes. We agree the style and the palette with you beforehand, at a dedicated planning meeting.

Some of it has been found and restored over the years; the rest comes out of the woodworking shop here on the hamlet. Benches, trestles, display stands and signage are made to measure, from trees grown on the estate or from reclaimed timber.

Yes, you are welcome to add your own, as long as it sits within our environmental charter and the spirit of the place.

Suppliers

Yes, you are free to choose your own suppliers, provided they respect the venue’s framework and constraints.

Yes, we can point you towards trusted partners, and handle the coordination if you take up the planning option.

Yes, at the latest 30 days before the wedding, along with a description of what you are bringing. If anything is clearly at odds with the charter we will say so then, and work out an alternative with you.

Planning support

Yes. If you take up the planning option, the team guides and coordinates every key stage, and is present on the day itself.

No, it is offered to couples who want it, to keep the weekend coherent and unhurried.

Yes. If you take up the planning option, a preparation weekend on site is arranged several months before the wedding.

Practical arrangements

Check-in from 4pm on Friday, check-out by 12 noon on Sunday. We can adjust these to suit your plans.

The barn is open from 10am on the Friday for setting up.

Yes, early access is possible during the week before the wedding.

Rooms are vacated at noon on Sunday, but you are welcome to stay and enjoy the place for the rest of the day.

Amplified music outdoors and in the vault stops after midnight. Inside the barn it can carry on much later, within the applicable noise regulations.

The final clean is on us. Tidying up, removing your own equipment and sorting the waste are down to you.

Yes. For music, we do recommend that your DJ brings offline files as a backup.

Environmental commitment

Yes. Le Morimont is committed to eco-responsible weddings and asks couples, guests and suppliers to respect its charter. It rests on four principles: respect for the seasons, produce sourced as locally as possible, care for the environment, and reducing and sorting waste. Yes: cups, straws, disposable tableware and non-returnable bottles are not accepted. We favour the alternatives — fabric, wood, china, glass.

Yes, throughout the event.

No. Nothing that flies away or pollutes the site or the land around it. There are alternatives and we are glad to suggest them: a performance, fire bowls, candles.

It is shared out among guests and donated to local charities.

Contract & terms

A first deposit confirms the booking, a second falls due during the year, and the balance is settled before the event. The full schedule is set out in the contract.

Yes, handed over on arrival on the Friday at the latest, as an uncashed cheque or a card imprint. It is returned within 15 days of the check-out inventory.

No, terms may change each year. The rate that applies is the one in force on the date you sign.

Sums already paid are not refunded. The detailed scale, which varies with how far ahead you cancel, is set out in the general terms of hire.

The contract is for one specific date and confers no right to postpone. Le Morimont may nonetheless agree to a new date as a gesture of goodwill; in that case it is confirmed in a written amendment.

Everything you have paid is refunded in full.

It is not a condition of access, but we strongly recommend it. Event organiser’s public liability cover protects against damage and theft and, depending on the policy, cancellation. Your usual insurer can arrange it easily.

Facilities & equipment

A sound and lighting system, a bar with a refrigerated area, a catering area with a professional oven and cold cabinet, washrooms and a StudioBooth.

Over 300 m² of floor space, of which 270 m² is newly laid solid oak, with tiling in front of the bar and across the catering area.

A few. Stiletto heels are best avoided or protected, no unshielded candles on the floor, and heavy furniture is lifted rather than dragged. We ask suppliers to protect their working areas.

Yes, audiovisual equipment can be provided as an option.

Yes, all the power your event needs.

Yes, a StudioBooth with 400 prints is included for the evening.

Yes, every shot is available to view and download from an online gallery.

Yes, on a few conditions: let us know beforehand, keep them on a lead in shared areas, supervise them and clear up after them.
